Ring of Kerry (1 full day tour) |
|
Magnificent scenery and a different view awaits to greet you at
each turn. This circular anti-clockwise tour from the bustling town of
Killarney with its many pubs, shops and restaurants follows the River Laune to
Killorglin famous for Puck Fair each August then onto Glenbeigh where there is
a lovely beach at Rossbeigh, continuing on our journey to Caherciveen where the
great Daniel O'Connell was born. Then to Waterville where Tiger Woods enjoys a
round of golf. Passing through Derrynane where secluded beaches await and where
Daniel O'Connell eventually settled, onto Caherdaniel, Castlecove and to the
village of Sneem a National Tidy Towns winner. Here you have the option of
travelling over the mountain to Molls Gap or continuing along to Kenmare
National Tidy Town winner 2000, before heading up the mountain to the
magnificent views of Molls Gap and Ladies View - watch out for the Leprechaun
Crossing. On your decent down to Killarney, the mountain road
twists and turns giving some beautiful views of the lakes, and the flora and
fauna of the region. This is a full days tour - but, you will be sure to want
to revisit as there are many narrow winding roads off the main ring passing
through wild countryside giving spectacular views of the Atlantic. |

| The Dingle Peninsula offers fantastic
views, winding lanes through small villages down to Slea Head where you can see
the Blasket Islands. Dingle Town with its many fine pubs, restaurants and shops
is only 38 miles from Fossa. Dingle is also home to Fungi the Dolphin. The
Connor Pass is not to be missed, at the top of this very steep climb there are
fabulous views of both Dingle & Tralee Bay. This Gaeltacht region offers
historic sites, antiquities, crafts, sandy coves, and much, much more. |

GAP OF DUNLOE (1 full day tour) |
| Not to be missed. This day tour takes
you by coach to Kate Kearneys Cottage, where you alight and either walk the 7
miles to Lord Bandons Cottage through the Gap or take a Jaunting Car/Horse. At
Lord Bandons, small boats await (the boatmen tell great stories) which bring
you down through the 3 Lakes of Killarney to Ross Castle. Coach will then
return you to Fossa. |
